Pencil Puzzles Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information the Pencil Puzzles mobile game collects, why it collects it, who it is shared with, and how you can access or delete it. Pencil Puzzles is published by Let’s Build My App LLC (“we”, “us”). It applies to the Pencil Puzzles app on iOS and Android and to nothing else.
The short version. You can play Pencil Puzzles without an account. If you create one, we store your email address, your display name, and your game progress so it follows you across devices. We show ads and sell in-app purchases, so our advertising and payment providers receive limited device and transaction data. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not collect your location, contacts, photos, or health data.
1. Information we collect
Account information
If you choose to create an account, we collect:
- Email address, used to identify your account, sign you in, and send a one-time code if you need to reset your password.
- Password, which is stored only as a salted hash by our authentication provider. We never see or store your password in readable form.
- Display name, which you choose. It is shown to your opponent during head-to-head matches, so pick something you are comfortable sharing.
Playing without an account is supported. In that case no account information is collected and your progress stays on your device.
Gameplay information
For signed-in players we store gameplay records so your progress is not lost when you change or reinstall on a device:
- Which puzzles you have started, completed, and unlocked, and your scores.
- Your daily play streak and the date you last played.
- Your credit balance, credit history, and earned badges.
- Head-to-head match records: the mode played, the result, each side’s score, whether the opponent was another player or a computer opponent, and the opponent’s display name.
We review this information in aggregate to understand which puzzles and modes people enjoy and to improve the game.
Purchase information
In-app purchases are processed entirely by the Apple App Store or Google Play. We never receive or store your card number, billing address, or other payment details. Our purchase provider records which products you bought and whether your purchases are active, tied to an app-specific identifier, so the app knows what to unlock.
Advertising information
Pencil Puzzles shows two kinds of ads: optional rewarded videos that you choose to watch in exchange for a reward, and occasional full-screen ads between head-to-head matches. Any paid purchase permanently removes the full-screen ads.
Our advertising provider, Google AdMob, may collect and process a device advertising identifier, coarse device and app information, and ad interaction data in order to serve and measure ads and to limit how often you see the same ad.
- On iOS, the app asks for your permission before any advertising identifier is used for tracking, the first time an ad is shown. If you decline, ads still appear but are not personalized using that identifier.
- On Android, you can reset or delete your advertising ID, and opt out of personalized ads, in your device settings under Google, Ads.
- In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, a consent prompt is presented before personalized ads are served, and you can change that choice later from the app.
Information stored on your device only
The app keeps some information locally, on your device, and does not transmit it to us. This includes your sign-in session token, your ad-free status, counters that enforce daily reward limits and ad frequency, and any gameplay events that are waiting to be sent because you were offline. Uninstalling the app removes all of it.
Notifications
If you allow notifications, Pencil Puzzles schedules reminders locally on your device, for example a daily nudge to play. These are generated by the app itself. We do not operate a push notification service and we do not collect a push token. You can turn notifications off at any time in your device settings.
What we do not collect
- Location data of any kind, precise or approximate.
- Contacts, calendar, photos, camera, microphone, or files.
- Health, fitness, or financial account information.
- Your payment card details.
2. How we use information
- To create and secure your account and sign you in.
- To save your progress and sync it across your devices.
- To run head-to-head matches, which requires showing your display name and score to your opponent.
- To deliver purchases and keep your unlocks and ad-free status working.
- To show ads and, where permitted, measure them.
- To understand in aggregate how the game is played, fix problems, and improve it.
- To comply with law and to investigate abuse, fraud, or violations of our terms.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising beyond the advertising provider described above. We do not use your information to build profiles for third parties.
3. Legal bases for processing
For players in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, we rely on the following legal bases: performance of a contract, to provide the game and your account; consent, for personalized advertising and for notifications, which you may withdraw at any time; and our legitimate interests in keeping the game secure, preventing abuse, and improving it.
4. Service providers we share information with
We use a small number of providers to operate the game. Each receives only what it needs to perform its function.

We may also disclose information if required by law, valid legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of our players or of Let’s Build My App LLC.
5. International transfers
We are based in the United States, and our providers process and store information in the United States and other countries. Where information is transferred out of the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, our providers rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or another approved transfer mechanism.
6. How long we keep information
Account and gameplay information is kept for as long as your account exists. If you delete your account, we delete that information within 30 days, except where we are required to keep records for legal, tax, or fraud-prevention reasons. Data held only on your device is removed when you uninstall the app.
7. Your choices and rights
Regardless of where you live, you can ask us to:
- Access a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Correct information that is wrong or out of date.
- Delete your account and the personal information associated with it.
- Object to or restrict certain processing, or withdraw a consent you previously gave.
- Receive a portable copy of the information you gave us.
Email support@letsbuildmyapp.com from the address on your account and we will respond within 30 days. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.
Deleting your account
To delete your Pencil Puzzles account and all associated data, email support@letsbuildmyapp.com with the subject “Delete my Pencil Puzzles account”, sent from the email address on the account. We will confirm and complete the deletion within 30 days. Uninstalling the app alone does not delete a server-side account.
Ad choices
On iOS, go to Settings, Privacy and Security, Tracking to change tracking permission for Pencil Puzzles. On Android, go to Settings, Google, Ads to delete your advertising ID or opt out of ad personalization. Purchasing any paid item in Pencil Puzzles permanently removes the full-screen ads.
8. Children’s privacy
Pencil Puzzles is a general-audience game. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will delete it. Parents or guardians who believe their child has provided us information may contact us at support@letsbuildmyapp.com.
9. Security
Information travels between the app and our providers over encrypted connections, and is stored on managed infrastructure with access controls limiting who can reach it. Passwords are stored only as salted hashes. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the game changes. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. If a change materially affects how we handle your information, we will give notice in the app before it takes effect.
